A lot of companies talk about culture. We flew ours to Crete.

This spring, the Mediatech team joined fellow companies from the Tesonet ecosystem for one of the largest workations ever organized in Europe. More than 3,200 people gathered on the Greek island for four days filled with connection, adventure, learning, and a healthy amount of chaos. And yes, it was as epic as it sounds.

With colleagues arriving from countries across Europe, Asia, North and South America, and Australia, the event brought together people who usually collaborate through Slack messages and video calls. For a few days, those conversations moved to beaches, sports courts, workshops, restaurants, and late-night dance floors. The schedule was packed. Mornings kicked off with workouts, basketball, football, and tennis tournaments. During the day, people could join everything from improv theatre and Tai Chi sessions to creative workshops, board games, and cultural excursions around Crete.

For those looking for inspiration, there were discussions with well-known names from the sports world, including Euroleague Basketball CEO Paulius Motiejūnas and Lithuanian basketball legend Mantas Kalnietis. And when the workation shifted into celebration mode, the stage didn't disappoint.

Live performances by Jessica Shy, Justinas Jarutis, Kamanių Šilelis, Baltic Balkan, and Superkoloritas kept thousands of people singing along, while DJs Aistė Regina, Mamania, and Tres Sticky made sure nobody headed back to their rooms too early.

Sure, the views were incredible. The weather helped. The sunsets didn't hurt either.

But what made the experience special was seeing thousands of talented people connect beyond their daily work. New friendships were formed, ideas were exchanged, and memories were created that will outlast any project sprint.

Being part of the Tesonet ecosystem allows us to create experiences on a scale few companies can offer. And while we can't promise every week looks like Crete, we can promise one thing: life at Mediatech is never boring.
