Mediatech is introducing additional financial support for employees who voluntarily choose Lithuanian military service. The initiative aims to provide greater financial stability during their absence from work and contribute to Lithuania’s broader total defence efforts.
Choosing military service can mean stepping away from work and regular income for an extended period. To reduce the financial impact of that decision, Mediatech will provide additional support to employees who choose to serve.
Mediatech employees who voluntarily choose Lithuanian military service will receive up to €2,300 gross per month for up to nine months of absence from work. The initiative is designed to provide greater financial security and reduce one of the practical barriers associated with temporarily stepping away from employment.
Lithuania’s approach to total defence involves not only the military and public institutions, but also citizens and businesses. Companies can contribute by creating conditions that allow employees to participate in national defence while maintaining greater financial security.
As part of this commitment, Mediatech has joined the “Visuotinė gynyba” association, which brings together businesses and organizations seeking to strengthen their role in Lithuania’s defence.
For Mediatech, supporting employees goes beyond professional development, benefits and career opportunities. It also means providing practical support when people take on significant commitments outside their everyday work.
By joining “Visuotinė gynyba” and introducing this financial support, we want to give employees who choose to serve greater security and confidence while they are away from work. It’s a way for us to take care of our colleagues while also contributing to the safety and resilience of the country we live and work in.
